Museum educators are responsible for organizing education opportunities with the community through field trips and various museum related events. They are expected to have some experience and understanding of how to teach, often children specifically. Although some events that are organized by museum educators happen in the museum, they're also responsible for off-site events that might include visits to schools or community centers to share some information about the museum or art featured in it. In some cases, educators are expected to develop a curriculum or a program that they share, but generally they work from a pre-made curriculum. They should be able to teach all age levels, but some jobs to specify certain age groups that are more common.
