Oil Painting Day #1

Today Caroline and I decided on a composition for our still-life and set it up in a cardboard box that we cut to act as a neutral corner in the background. We used books to elevate it so that the angle would appear more straight-on rather than a painting from above. We tried a variety of different compositions but finally settled on this one. The image will vary slightly vary depending on where we set up the still-life and where we sit. Still, the composition should remain fairly uniform throughout the process.
